The Airborne Toxic Event will be performing at the Newport Music Hall on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022. The Airborne Toxic Event is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2006. The band consists of Mikel Jollett (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Steven Chen (guitar, keyboards), Daren Taylor (drums), Adrian Rodriguez (bass guitar), and Anna Bulbrook (viola, keyboards, backing vocals). The band’s name is derived from the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.
The Airborne Toxic Event’s music has been described as “a blend of rock, punk, and folk, with some jazz and classical influences.” The band has released five studio albums: The Airborne Toxic Event (2008), All at Once (2011), Such Hot Blood (2013), Dope Machines (2015), and Hollywood Park (2020). The band has also released several EPs and singles, and their music has been featured in a number of films and television shows.
The Airborne Toxic Event has been praised for their live performances, and they have toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. The band is currently touring in support of their latest album, Hollywood Park.
