On Friday September 29th, 2023, Matt and Kim will be performing at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. The show will start at 8pm and is open to all ages. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of show.
Matt and Kim are an American indie rock duo from Brooklyn, New York. The duo consists of Matt Johnson on vocals and keyboards, and Kim Schifino on drums. They are known for their high-energy live shows and DIY approach to music and self-promotion.
The duo formed in 2004 and released their debut album, Matt and Kim, in 2006. They have since released four more studio albums: Grand (2009), Sidewalks (2010), New Glow (2015), and Almost Everyday (2018). In addition to their studio work, Matt and Kim have also released a number of live albums and DVDs.
Matt and Kim’s music is often described as upbeat and optimistic. Their songs often deal with themes of love and relationships, as well as with the struggles and joys of everyday life. The duo’s live shows are high-energy affairs, with Matt and Kim often leaping and dancing around the stage.
